Yinson Production (owned by Yinson) has signed a preliminary agreement with Azule Energy (BP and Eni joint venture) for the Agogo project offshore Angola. The Agreement (APA) involves the provision, operation, and maintenance of FPSOs for Agogo development projects. The total value is about $218 million. The AGOGO FPSO refit project is to transform a 333-meter-long, 60-meter-wide, 30.5-meter-deep, 320,000-ton VLCC ultra-large crude oil carrier built in 2009 into an "offshore super factory" integrating oil and gas floating production, processing, storage and unloading, export transportation functions and mooring positioning. The modification technology is quite complex and involves the application of many new technologies and processes. WHEN COMPLETED, THE PROJECT WILL SERVE THE 1 BILLION BARREL AGOGO DEEPWATER FIELD IN ANGOLA, WEST AFRICA.
